GENERAL FARM HAND

Mudgee – Central West NSW - Full Time - We are recruiting a motivated all-rounder individual to join our team at Gooree Park. 

Gooree Park cultivates and produces feed crop and raises cattle and sheep for meat production. Producing F1 Wagyu & Angus meat cattle, breeding many of our own Wagyu bulls for the purpose of joining to Angus cows for the F1 meat operation. Currently running approximately 1100 breeding Angus, Wagyu and Speckle Park cows and breeding Dorper Ewes joined to SheepMaster Rams. 

Hay and grain for livestock are produced on the property, with horse and cattle feed cultivated in the middle of our very own racetrack and surrounding paddocks; while land around our vineyards close to Gulgong are also used for sheep and cattle production. Pivot irrigation is used to produce perennial and tropical pasture for year-round grazing.

In this position you will need experience in the maintenance and operation of machinery and equipment including farm tractors and implements, mowers, irrigators and farm vehicles. 

The Role involves 

  • Working as part of a team within a mixed farming operation
  • Carrying out general farm maintenance and farming duties as instructed by your supervisor and/or manager including basic maintenance of machinery, equipment and farm structures
  • A desire to work with cattle and sheep, assisting with stock movement if and when needed
  • Adhere to all Company procedures and Work Safety requirements
  • Other duties and tasks that may be assigned by either your supervisor or other persons specifically authorised by the Managing Director.

To be successful, you must have hands on experience working at a mixed farming operation.
