Pre-Training & Spelling
The Pre-Training and Spelling complex provides racehorse spelling, rehabilitation & pre training agistment within a state-of-the-art training facilities with a fully maintained irrigated grass and sand track the size of Randwick /Rosehill Racecourse.
Gooree offers your horses prime paddocks to unwind for a much-needed break; while our resident trainer, Mack Griffith, works alongside our vet and city trainers to get horses fit and ready for their next campaign.
Located just over 3 hours from Sydney Racing Stables, we offer weekly transport to and from the country's top trainers, who utilise these amazing facilities on a regularly.
With the entire property being at an elevation of over 420m above sea level, not only does the racehorse build resistance in its lungs - they also build strength in bones, muscles, and joints along with a healthy mind for its future career on the track.
Spellers have small yards with stables, larger yards and paddocks. Gooree has two well equipped stables comfortable accommodating 16 Pre-Trainers in each.
Racehorses are given the very best foundation at Gooree Park. From their early life all the way through to pre-training on our very own home track the racehorse:
- Gains comfort on track in a calming atmosphere ideal for learning
- Develops its mind for racing without unnecessary pressures
